The route begins in the municipality of Utrera (Seville), more specifically from the Fuente de los 8 Caños and ends at the Lagunas de Zarracatín.
The Zarracatín Lagoon is a Nature Reserve included within the set of lagoons that make up the Utrera Endorheic Complex. Of very saline waters, its use as a continental saline during Roman times is known. With a rich and varied fauna, the flocks of flamingos stand out for their showiness, as well as a large number of ducks and other waterfowl.
The route runs mostly through the Cañada Real from Utrera to Ubrique. The lagoon is 18.7 km away, so the total round trip route is about 37 km in total.
